A true Bond-villain fantasy made real, Kokomo Ailand is a private floating habitat conceived by Migaloo Submarines, the masterminds behind submersible superyachts. At 117 metres long and nearly as wide as it is tall, this extraordinary structure is part futuristic resort, part impregnable fortress — an artificial island that can be placed wherever its owner chooses.

From afar, its four immense towers rise out of the sea, stabilising a vast main deck that seems to hover above the water. Palm trees sway in the centre, grassy terraces crown its raised platforms, and waterfalls tumble down from sculpted structures. A helipad welcomes arrivals from the skies, while a private harbour lies hidden below for tenders, toys, or even a submarine fleet.

At the summit, some 80 metres above sea level, stands the owner’s penthouse — accessed by a private glass elevator.
